And now, we are pleased to present you \u201cLes Roches Blanches\u00a0&#8211; Cabernet Franc\u201d, a new ros\u00e9 wine that rounds out the Roches Blanches range.<\/p>\n<p>This collection of grape varieties conveys the mineral energy of the estate\u2019s limestone soil, and the rich geological heritage of the Entre-deux-Mers region. A new expression of Bordeaux wines that offers an innovative key to interpreting both the grape variety and the expression of a terroir.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Following our Merlot grapes from the Roquefort Plateau, and Sauvignon grapes that flourish on the north-facing clayey-limestone soils of Castelviel, now here\u2019s our Cabernet Franc variety, also from Castelviel, but growing in our south-facing vineyards. It\u2019s a ros\u00e9 <em>cuv\u00e9e<\/em> that\u2019s refreshing and mineral, enhanced with a \u2018Starfish\u2019 label \u2013 an allusion to a perfectly preserved fossil unearthed in the stones of the estate\u2019s 18<sup>th<\/sup> century dovecote \u2013 because 30 million years ago, the Atlantic Ocean covered the region!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Like all Ch\u00e2teau Roquefort wines, \u201cLes Roches Blanches\u201d <strong>is already certified HVE 3 (High Environmental Value \u2013 Level 3)<\/strong> and the estate began its transition to organic farming in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric and Anne Bellanger\u2019s aim is to make the estate and its wines a reference that reconciles quality and commitment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The uniqueness of the terroirs is expressed in the depths of the soil.
